Our Methodology
How we research, verify, and compare AI tools on this site.
How we evaluate tools
We do not run our own hands-on test sessions for every tool listed on this site. Instead, we compile and verify information from official documentation, official pricing pages, changelogs, and other publicly available and independently checkable sources. Comparisons are built around concrete, checkable criteria — features offered, pricing structure, supported platforms, and stated limitations — rather than subjective impressions. When a tool comparison does include a first-hand test, it will say so explicitly and describe the exact prompt and output used, rather than implying a general track record we have not established.
Pricing verification
Pricing shown on tool pages is sourced only from each vendor's official pricing page. Prices are stored in our database and served live, so a tool page reflects the last time we could confirm its published price. When a price cannot be verified against an official source — because a vendor requires a sales call, gates pricing behind a signup, or has removed a public pricing page — we do not guess or estimate a number. The tool is instead labeled "Pricing varies" or directed to the vendor's own page. We would rather show no number than a wrong one.
What we don't claim
- ✕We do not claim to have personally tested every tool listed or compared on this site.
- ✕We do not invent usage statistics, benchmark numbers, or timelines (such as "used this for two weeks") that were not actually measured.
- ✕We do not attribute content to a named author or reviewer unless that person actually wrote or verified it.
- ✕Where our content is assisted by AI research and drafting tools, that content is reviewed against the sources above before publishing, not presented as a personal account.
Corrections
If you find outdated pricing, an inaccurate feature claim, or any other error on this site, let us know and we will review and correct it.
